Blinder Laser Jammer M-20
This is the Blinder Laser Jammer M-20 on a Corvette. As you can see they are doing the most typical spots to hit on the vehicle when targeting the license plates and headlight shots which are very highly reflective materials that reflect back to the laser gun that give the cop the reading. Having the laser jammers mounted in excellent spots are also a key to this test where they get no reading, it will involve testing and tuning until you find the right spot for your vehicle to achieve results such as what you see above.

LIDAR guns are thought to be aligned. Some are.
They provide a Heads up Display (HUD)to assist the operator where they are aiming.
The problem is that since a LIDAR gun shoots a multiple intensity of LIDAR light: Known as a stacked "laser diode array", the beam can reflect from anywhere when the gun is viewed through the HUD by the operator.
Sometimes the beam of light location is different than the "dot" or aiming rectile shown to the operator.
This can be dependent upon where the distance the gun "aim" was set to.
